MULTI-ROLE NAVAL PERFORMANCE IN ARCHIPELAGIC ENVIRONMENTS
The 60.4M Missile Corvette was developed to support a wide range of naval missions in Indonesia’s vast archipelagic waters, demanding high speed, broad endurance and strong maneuverability. With threats ranging from asymmetric surface challenges to maritime security patrols, this fast attack craft must combine operational reach with tactical agility. The wave-piercing trimaran hull delivers reduced drag, improved fuel efficiency and enhanced sea stability, while the propulsion system must support rapid acceleration and sustained high speeds even in adverse conditions.
Marine Jet Power supplied four MJP 850 CSU waterjets for this Trimaran FAC. The Classic Mixed-Flow CSU design offers high efficiency and strong thrust across a wide speed range, making it suitable for vessels between 26–200 meters operating at high speeds.
QUAD MJP CSU WATERJETS FOR SPEED, STABILITY AND CONTROL
The quad configuration enhances:
- Thrust redundancy for mission reliability
- High top speed up to approx. 43 knots
- Precise handling in littoral and open sea conditions
- Stable maneuverability due to balanced thrust vectors
- Efficient power utilization supporting extended range
Waterjets also support shallow draft operation, reduced appendages and greater safety due to no exposed propellers — valuable traits in archipelago and littoral operational zones.

PERFORMANCE ADVANTAGES FOR NAVAL MISSIONS
The integration of quad MJP 850 CSU waterjets with the wave-piercing trimaran hull delivers:
- High operational speed suitable for interception and rapid repositioning
- Improved stability at speed and in rough sea states
- Enhanced maneuverability for tactical missions
- Extended operational range with efficient propulsion
- Reduced vulnerability due to waterjet design
Combined, these outcomes ensure that the 60.4M Missile Corvette meets the multidimensional demands of modern naval operations across Indonesia’s maritime domain.
