Commissioned for Gangwon Province in the northeast of South Korea, the “Gangwon 201” represents a new era of eco-friendly fishery patrol boats. This vessel is powered by dual MJP 500X waterjets seamlessly integrated with MTU engines, offering a hybrid electric option for precise maneuvering in harbors. This innovative combination ensures both environmental responsibility and exceptional operational flexibility.
The “Gangwon 201” achieved a sea trial speed of 18.5 knots, exceeding its target of 18 knots, demonstrating the exceptional efficiency and performance of the MJP X-Series.
Launched in 2018, the MJP X-Series waterjet epitomizes the pinnacle of technological advancement within MJP’s portfolio. Its fully integrated design allows for a seamless, single-piece installation, significantly simplifying the process for shipbuilders while enhancing operational efficiency for end-users. In 2021, MJP expanded the X-Series range to include the 400, 450, and now, the powerful 500 sizes.
