HIGH-SPEED BAHAMAS CRUISING WITH SHALLOW-WATER ACCESS
Lady Niña was developed as a highly customized project for an owner seeking a yacht capable of combining luxury, speed and shallow-water exploration. Named after the Exuma Cays in the Bahamas, the vessel was specifically designed for cruising destinations where shallow draft and maneuverability are essential.
The project required a propulsion solution capable of delivering high-speed performance while maintaining low draft, long-range efficiency and onboard comfort. Extensive customization throughout the yacht also focused on maximizing connection between interior and exterior spaces through large glazing surfaces and open-plan layouts.

DUAL MJP 650 DRB WATERJETS WITH CENTRAL BOOSTER
Marine Jet Power equipped Lady Niña with dual MJP 650 DRB steerable waterjets and a central booster system. The DRB configuration was selected to deliver responsive control, strong thrust and reliable operation in shallow and high-speed cruising conditions.
Key advantages of the propulsion system include:
• Top speeds up to 35 knots
• Precise maneuverability during docking and coastal navigation
• Reduced vibration and improved onboard comfort
• Shallow-water access for island and beach cruising
• Efficient long-range cruising performance
The combination of waterjets and triple Caterpillar engines creates a propulsion package optimized for both performance and exploration, enabling seamless cruising between destinations such as Cat Island, Paradise Island and the Exumas.
HIGH-PERFORMANCE CRUISING WITHOUT COMPROMISE
Lady Niña demonstrates how advanced waterjet propulsion can support luxury yachting without sacrificing comfort or usability:
• High-speed cruising up to 35 knots
• Long operational range of approximately 1,600 nautical miles
• Shallow draft allowing access to beaches and remote anchorages
• Smooth maneuverability and responsive handling
• Spacious open layouts maximizing connection to the sea
The yacht combines Italian craftsmanship with high-performance engineering, creating a platform equally suited for long-distance cruising and luxury entertainment.
WHY MJP 650 DRB
MJP 650 DRB waterjets deliver a balanced combination of speed, maneuverability and shallow-water capability for high-performance yachts. The mixed-flow design provides strong thrust and smooth acceleration, while the double reversing bucket system ensures precise control during docking and low-speed maneuvering. With robust duplex stainless steel construction and inboard hydraulics, the 650 DRB offers reliable performance and efficient operation in demanding cruising environments.
